About This Trail

Looping 6.5 miles around Holliday Lake and the 4-H Educational Center, this trail passes through hardwood forest, managed pine plantation, and wetland habitats. Rustic footbridges, beaver dams, and seasonal wildflowers accent the route through Appomattox-Buckingham State Forest.

Getting There

From Appomattox, take SR-24 south and follow Routes 626, 640, and 692 to Holliday Lake State Park at 2759 State Park Road. The blue-blazed Lakeshore Trail starts near Picnic Shelter 1.
