About This Trail

A rugged 6.5-mile trail through the 2,000-acre Wissahickon Valley Park, where the creek drops over 100 feet through a wooded gorge just minutes from downtown Philadelphia. Rocky climbs, steep side ravines, and creek crossings give this urban trail a surprisingly wild character. Part of the park’s 50+ mile trail network that has been car-free since a 1920 protest banned automobiles.
