About This Trail

Climbing to a 1935 CCC-built fire tower at 2,000 feet in the George Washington National Forest, this Massanutten Range trail delivers 360-degree views. Seven Bends of the Shenandoah River, Shenandoah National Park, and the town of Woodstock spread out below the observation platform.

Getting There

From Woodstock, take Route 42 east from I-81 exit 283, then Route 11 north for 1.7 miles. Turn east on SR 665, then left on SR 758 for 2 miles. The tower is on the right with a footpath on the left.
