About This Trail

Demanding 10-mile loop combining Massanutten, Meneka Peak, and Tuscarora trails through George Washington National Forest’s Fort Valley. Rocky ridgelines lead to Buzzard Rock and Fort Valley overlooks at 1,300 feet of elevation gain. Blue-blazed Tuscarora sections offer springs and gentler terrain between exposed summits.

Getting There

From Front Royal, drive west on Route 55 to SR-678. Turn left and continue 3.4 miles to the Signal Knob parking lot on the right. The Meneka Peak loop begins on the orange-blazed Massanutten Trail.
