Yellow Mountain Trail
The most popular trail in the Cooper Creek Scenic Area
The trail begins just north of the parking area, and is an easy hike to the top of Yellow Mountain. The trail offers scenic views of the surrounding area best from fall to late spring, but beautiful year-round.
Visitors should call Camp Frank D. Merrill in Dahlonega (706-864-3367) to check the schedule of the Army's activity in the area before planning the trip, as regular training exercises are conducted there that would undoubtedly disturb the peace of the hike.
Length: 3.0 miles
Difficulty: 5
