About This Trail

A peaceful loop through old-growth hemlock and white pine groves in Rothrock State Forest, with some specimens over 500 years old. Named for the American war poet killed in WWI, this Huntingdon County preserve features stream-side walking along Standing Stone Creek through dense rhododendron. The towering canopy creates a cathedral-like atmosphere on this gentle, family-friendly interpretive trail.
