Tracing the perimeter of Beaver Lake on gentle paths and boardwalks, this 2.6-mile loop gains just 170 feet through Pocahontas State Park’s woods. Lily pad views, a scenic dam spillway, and shaded lakeside stretches make it accessible for all ages just minutes from Richmond.

Getting There

From Richmond, VA, take Route 360 south to Pocahontas State Park. Follow Beach Road into the park. The Beaver Lake Trail trailhead is accessible from the main parking area near the park office and beach facilities.
