About This Trail

A 4.4-mile round-trip ascent to the highest point on the eastern seaboard at 1,530 feet, with sweeping views of Bar Harbor, Frenchman Bay, and the Schoodic Peninsula. The mostly exposed trail makes this Acadia’s signature sunrise hike, with a gradual rocky ascent rewarding early risers.

Getting There

From Bar Harbor, take ME-233 west to the Acadia National Park entrance. Turn left on Paradise Hill road, then left on the Park Loop Road. The North Ridge Trail parking is 0.8 miles ahead on the left.
