About This Trail

A river-adjacent trail following the scenic Clarion River through mixed hardwood and hemlock forest in the Allegheny National Forest region. The route passes through riparian habitat with filtered river views and dense understory of ferns and rhododendron. The Clarion River corridor is a designated Pennsylvania Scenic River, known for excellent water quality and diverse wildlife.

Getting There

From Ridgway, head to the Clarion-Little Toby Trail trailhead at the south end of Main Street. The trail follows the Clarion River and Little Toby Creek on a crushed limestone surface through Forest County.
