About This Trail

A quiet 4.4-mile backcountry trail through the Debsconeag Lakes Wilderness south of Baxter State Park, winding past remote ponds and through dense spruce-fir forest. The moderately challenging route offers a true wilderness experience with minimal foot traffic, glacially carved lake basins, and the solitude typical of Maine’s North Woods.
