About This Trail

A moderate 4.6-mile hike via the Long Trail and Babcock Trail to a dramatic geological defile between Belvidere and Laraway mountains. The emerald-green gorge is filled with mossy, jagged boulders creating a labyrinthine passage that Long Trail hikers liken to an Indiana Jones adventure.

Getting There

From Eden, take VT-118 north toward Belvidere. The trailhead parking for Devil's Gulch via the Long Trail is on VT-118, at the base of Belvidere Mountain near the Babcock Nature Preserve.
