About This Trail
Gaining 1,510 feet via the Belfast Trail to an 8-acre field of white Antietam quartzite boulders, this challenging hike delivers one of Virginia’s most unique landscapes. Boulders ranging from three to eight feet tall cover an entire mountainside in the James River Face Wilderness of George Washington National Forest.
