About This Trail

Classic strenuous 13.4-mile loop via the Appalachian and Mau-Har trails gaining nearly 4,000 feet through Three Ridges Wilderness. Summit rock scrambles, Campbell Creek waterfalls, and two AT shelters mark this George Washington National Forest circuit in Nelson County.

Getting There

From Charlottesville, take the Blue Ridge Parkway south to milepost 13.7 at Reeds Gap, where Route 664 intersects the Parkway. Park in the Reeds Gap lot. The AT trailhead is at the south end.
