About This Trail
Named for volunteer Ray Gerard who built it in the 1970s, this 36-mile yellow-blazed loop runs down both sides of the Oil Creek Valley, passing all four of the park’s waterfalls and multiple overlooks. Adirondack shelters at Cows Run and Wolfkiel campgrounds enable overnight trips. Cross-connector trails allow shorter loop options through the hills and hollows above this historic oil-region landscape.
