About This Trail

A rugged climb to the 3,870-foot west peak of Goose Eye Mountain in the remote Mahoosuc Range, featuring expansive alpine vegetation and unobstructed summit views in all directions. The trail crosses through 30,000 acres of wild public reserved land. Be prepared for a potentially tricky scramble section in wet or icy conditions.

Getting There

From Bethel, take Route 26 north and turn left onto Sunday River Road. Follow it 7.8 miles (gravel after 6.5 miles), bear right onto Bull Branch Road at the fork, and continue 1.1 miles to the Wright Trail parking area at the gate.
