About This Trail

A rewarding Acadia loop combining the dramatic coastal cliffs and landmarks of Ocean Path with the mountain summit views from Gorham Mountain. The circuit links Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, and Otter Cliffs with an inland mountain ascent past ancient sea caves for a complete coastal-mountain experience.

Getting There

From Bar Harbor, follow Park Loop Road through Acadia National Park past Thunder Hole. The Gorham Mountain trailhead parking area is on the right, a short distance south of Thunder Hole along the one-way loop road.
