A scenic combination in Greenbrier State Park pairing a gentle 1.3-mile lake circuit around Greenbrier Lake with the strenuous Bartman’s Hill climb to the Appalachian Trail on South Mountain’s ridge. Eleven miles of trails wind through diverse wildlife habitats and geological formations.

Getting There

From Boonsboro, take US-40 east 2 miles to Greenbrier State Park on the right. Or from I-70, take Exit 35 to MD-66 south, then US-40 east. The Bartmans Hill Trail connects to the Appalachian Trail within the park.
