About This Trail
Part of the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary trail network, this route crosses extensive boulder fields of Tuscarora quartzite along the Kittatinny Ridge, a major raptor migration corridor. The rocky terrain challenges footing but rewards with views of the Appalachian ridgeline. Fall brings thousands of migrating hawks, eagles, and falcons visible from overlook points along the ridge.
