About This Trail
Hawk Mountain Sanctuary sits along the Appalachian flyway where over 18,000 raptors pass each fall, making it one of the world’s premier bird-of-prey viewing sites. Trails lead to North Lookout at 1,521 feet with 200-degree views across the ridgeline. Nine trails of varying difficulty connect to the Appalachian Trail through this globally recognized conservation area.
