About This Trail

An easy 4.4-mile round-trip coastal stroll linking Acadia’s most iconic landmarks: Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, Monument Cove, and the 110-foot Otter Cliffs. The well-groomed gravel path follows a dramatic stretch of pink granite coastline where waves can spray over 40 feet at Thunder Hole.

Getting There

From Bar Harbor, enter Acadia National Park via the Park Loop Road. The Ocean Path trailhead is at the Sand Beach parking area, less than half a mile south of the entrance station on the Park Loop Road.
