About This Trail

This 6-mile paved rail-trail follows the historic Junction & Breakwater Railroad corridor connecting Lewes and Rehoboth Beach, passing through mature hardwood forests, open farmland, and coastal marshes. Designated a National Recreation Trail, the mostly flat route features interpretive signs on local flora and fauna, with trailheads at Cape Henlopen High School, Wolfe Neck Road, and behind the Tanger Outlets.

Getting There

From Lewes, access the trail from Kings Highway opposite Cape Henlopen High School, or from the Wolfe Neck Road trailhead with parking and restrooms. In Rehoboth, access from Hebron Road off Route 1.
