About This Trail

Starting from White Haven, this crushed-stone rail-trail section follows the Lehigh River through Lehigh Gorge State Park on a gentle 1-2% grade ideal for long-distance hiking or cycling. The former railroad bed passes waterfalls, historic canal locks, and towering gorge walls. Part of the 165-mile Delaware and Lehigh Trail, with shuttle services available for one-way trips.

Getting There

From I-80, take Exit 273 and follow PA-940 west for one mile. Turn left onto Lehigh Gorge Drive and continue to the village of Rockport for the midway access point of the Lehigh Gorge Trail.
