About This Trail

Fully accessible 1.3-mile loop on crushed greenstone near Skyland Resort, winding through high-elevation wetlands and old-growth hemlock groves. White-tailed deer graze freely along the boardwalk sections. One of Shenandoah National Park’s only ADA-compliant trails, suitable for wheelchairs and strollers.

Getting There

From Luray, enter Shenandoah National Park via the Thornton Gap entrance. Drive south on Skyline Drive to the Limberlost Trail parking area at milepost 43, about one mile south of Skyland Lodge.
