About This Trail

A ridge traverse in Minnewaska State Park along cliff-edge viewpoints with expansive views across the Palmaghatt Ravine. The trail crosses exposed conglomerate rock outcrops and mixed forest terrain along the Shawangunk escarpment. Often combined with the Gertrude’s Nose loop for a full-day outing.

Getting There

From New Paltz, take Route 44/55 west. The West Trapps Trailhead is on the south side of Route 44/55 east of Minnewaska State Park. Cross the pedestrian bridge to access Millbrook Ridge Trail.
