About This Trail
A scenic 1.9-mile carriage-road loop circling Lake Minnewaska on the Shawangunk Ridge, with views of the turquoise sky lake from white conglomerate cliff edges. The wide, well-graded path is accessible to a broad range of hikers and is wheelchair-friendly in most sections. The lake sits at 1,650 feet elevation amid pitch pine and hardwood forest.
