About This Trail
Challenging loop through George Washington National Forest reaching twin high points along the Wild Oak Loop system near Mount Solon. Dense hardwood forest, open meadows, and ridgeline panoramas reward hikers tackling significant elevation changes at altitudes above 3,500 feet. Excellent birding near spruce-fir habitat zones.
