About This Trail

Challenging extension trail skirting the edge of Blackwater River Gorge through dense rhododendron and hardwood forest near Blackwater Falls State Park. A dramatic rock outcropping overlook reveals the North Fork of the Blackwater River and deep canyon walls below. Starting from the Harold S. Walters Nature Center past Pendleton Lake.

Getting There

From Parsons, take US-219 south to WV-72 east. Follow WV-72 into the Monongahela National Forest. The Pase Point Trail trailhead is in the Tucker County section of the forest near the Blackwater River.
