About This Trail

Dark-blue-blazed trail climbing from the Old Forge Recreation Area through the Bald Mountains to the Appalachian Trail ridge in Greene County. Lower sections pass small waterfalls along the hollow’s creek, while the upper route ascends steeply through dense Appalachian hardwood forest. Connects to Artie Hollow for loop options.

Getting There

From Gallatin, Tennessee, take TN-109 north to TN-231. Follow TN-231 northeast toward Bledsoe Creek State Park. The Phillips Hollow Trail is accessible from the park's campground area.
