The route connects to Platte River Point and Lake Michigan beaches, offering longer mileage away from the park’s busiest areas. Sandy stretches and gentle grades throughout.

Getting There

From Honor, take M-22 north. Access the Platte Plains Trail from the Platte River Campground off M-22, or drive to the end of Trail's End Road, six miles south of Empire.
