About This Trail
Named the Best Hike in Pennsylvania by Outside Magazine, the full West Rim Trail stretches 30 miles along the western edge of Pine Creek Gorge with repeated canyon overlooks into the 1,450-foot-deep gorge. This segment offers multiple viewpoints where the canyon is nearly a mile wide. Mixed hardwood and hemlock forest alternate with dramatic rim-edge vistas throughout.
