About This Trail

A 4.6-mile mostly paved circuit around Little Seneca Lake in the 1,300-acre Black Hill Regional Park, winding through oak and hickory forest with spectacular lake views. Kayak rentals, picnic shelters, and a fishing pier along the route make this a popular outing near Germantown.

Getting There

From Germantown, MD, take MD-355 north to MD-27 north (Ridge Road). Turn left on West Old Baltimore Road, then right on Lake Ridge Drive to Black Hill Regional Park. The Lake Loop Trail begins at the visitor center parking area.
