About This Trail

A coastal forest and shoreline trail at the southern tip of New Jersey, famous as one of the East Coast’s top fall songbird migration funnels. The trail passes through maritime forest and emerges at Delaware Bay beaches. Peak migration in September and October brings tens of thousands of warblers, raptors, and monarchs.

Getting There

From Cape May, follow the Garden State Parkway to mile 0, exit right onto Route 109 North to Route 9 South, then turn left on Route 626, cross the bridge, and turn right on New England Road to the Higbee Beach parking area.
