About This Trail

This 1.2-mile accessible boardwalk trail at Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge loops through uplands, forested wetlands, and 600 feet of freshwater marsh, offering close-up wildlife observation and photography opportunities. The wheelchair-accessible route near the visitor center provides environmental interpretation of the refuge’s 10,000-acre coastal ecosystem along the Delaware Bay.

Getting There

From Milton, take Route 1 south to Route 16 east toward Broadkill Beach. Turn left onto Turkle Pond Road and continue 1.6 miles to Prime Hook NWR headquarters. The boardwalk trail begins near the visitor center.
