About This Trail
This 2.3-mile flat path loops around Fleetwood Pond within Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, where a viewing platform overlooks marsh habitat frequented by herons, bitterns, and migrating waterfowl. The easy route through pine and hardwood forest connects to the Pine Grove Trail section, offering some of the refuge’s most productive birding access.
