About This Trail

A longer high-elevation hike through Maine’s western mountains to Spaulding Mountain’s 4,010-foot wooded summit along the Appalachian Trail. The remote trail through dense spruce-fir forest connects to Sugarloaf and Abraham, making it a key link for peak-baggers pursuing Maine’s 4,000-footers.
